America is not a Christian nation. We are, it is true, a nation founded by Christians, and according to a 2008 survey, 76 percent of us continue to identify as Christian (still, that’s the lowest percentage in American history). Of course, we are not a Hindu or Muslim, or Jewish, or Wiccan nation, either. A million-plus Hindus live in the United States, a fraction of the billion who live on Earth. But recent poll data show that conceptually, at least, we are slowly becoming more like Hindus and less like traditional Christians in the ways we think about God, our selves, each other, and eternity.
The Rig Veda, the most ancient Hindu scripture, says this: “Truth is One, but the sages speak of it by many names.” A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. Jesus is one way, the Qur’an is another, yoga practice is a third. None is better than any other; all are equal. The most traditional, conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this. They learn in Sunday school that their religion is true, and others are false. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

Rom 1:21Â Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
The article above criticizes fundamental Christianity for its teaching that Christ is the only way to salvation and quotes from a pole of Christians that states that 65% believe that many religions can lead to eternal life. And yet Christ Himself states otherwise:
Joh 14:6Â Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The Apostle James said that it is not enough to believe in the person of Christ. Devils also believe and tremble yet they do not obey.
Jas 2:19Â Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. This article is an attempt to shape it’s readers attitudes to be prepared for the prophesied coming of a one world religion where everyone one will accept everyone else’s religion as an acceptable path to God and eternal life. The unspoken affect of this article is to make folks feel that if you don’t agree you are not part of the “in crowd”. A warning to those “who have the ears to hear” of what is coming.
Worshiping other gods is a sin.
Exo 20:3Â Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
1Jn 3:4Â Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
So do you just believe in Christ or do you believe what He said? The choice is yours and many apparently are making the wrong decision.
