'Repulsive' Poland confronts Europe

Roman-GiertychWARSAW – Nearly 70 years after the invasion of Poland marked the beginning of a global cataclysm, the Central European nation once again finds itself confronting a foe it sees as a threat to Western civilization.

While the rest of Europe largely accommodates a rising tide of secularism, many Polish leaders are prepared to fight back with a bold, traditional social agenda they envision not only for their own country but for the continent and the world.

Poland's vice premier and minister of education, Roman Giertych told the World Congress of Families here his multi-pronged plan – including a proposal issued last month to ban "homosexual propaganda" in schools – is "something I have to do."

WORDS FROM RED SQUARE

“The dialectic of this offensive consists of a calculated shift from the old, discredited Soviet practice to a new, ‘liberalized’ model, with a social democratic façade, to realize the communist planners’ strategy for establishing a united Europe. At the beginning they introduced a variation of the 1968 Czechoslovakian ‘democratization.’ At a later phase they will shift to a variation of the Czechoslovakian takeover of 1948.”

- Anatoliy Golitsyn, KGB defector

russian-=celebrationIt was an impressive, solemn occasion in front of Lenin’s Mausoleum on Wednesday. It was the anniversary of Soviet Russia’s victory over Nazi Germany. There was military discipline, pomp and ceremony in Red Square. Russian soldiers goose-stepped and saluted. Old heroes displayed their medals. Jet fighters soared overhead. President Vladimir Putin addressed the assembled generals and admirals as “comrades,” according to the Soviet style. You could see the pride in the old face of Russia, in the old national anthem with its new words. “We have no right,” said Putin, “to forget the causes of any war, which are found in the mistakes of peacetime.” Russia’s mistake was to make a strategic partner out of Hitler, whose policies threatened the entire world.

“In our time,” said Putin, “these threats are not diminishing. They have merely undergone a transformation, changing their appearance. We find in these new threats – as during the time of the Third Reich – the same contempt for human life and the same claims of exceptionality.” In saying this, President Putin was talking about the United States. Putin was saying that fascism now flies the American flag. He was saying that the U.S. military is like the Nazi war machine, threatening the entire world.

Jerusalem grows ever less Jewish

arab-jerusalemJERUSALEM: Israel is facing a challenge it never expected when it captured East Jerusalem and reunited the city in the 1967 war: Each year, Jerusalem's population is becoming more Arab and less Jewish.

For four decades, Israel has pushed to build and expand Jewish neighborhoods, while trying to restrict the growth in Arab parts of the city. Yet two trends are unchanged: Jews moving out of Jerusalem have outnumbered those moving in for 27 of the last 29 years. And the Palestinian growth rate has been high.

Where the War on Terror is Succeeding

Russa - China (Gog - Magog)In October 2002, Islamic radicals set off two powerful bombs on the Indonesian island of Bali. Detonated in the heart of the tourist district, they obliterated several bars and nightclubs, killing over 200 people—visiting Australians, Americans, and other foreign nationals, as well as Indonesians—and wounding still more. It was the worst terrorist attack in the country’s history. Shocked and taken aback by the carnage, the international media proclaimed the end of innocence for the tropical retreat.

To anyone who had been paying attention to political developments in Southeast Asia over the previous decade, however, the surprise was misplaced. Well before the Bali bombing, Islamists had turned the region as a whole into a front in their global jihad. In the Philippines, the radical group Abu Sayyaf, which received funding from the brother-in-law of Osama bin Laden, had built itself into a powerfully lethal force. In Indonesia, an even deadlier terror group, Jemaah Islamiah (JI), had also expanded, bombing churches and ultimately putting in motion the Bali plot.

Missing Bees? Natural Disaster or Manmade?

organic-beesI'm on an organic beekeeping list of about 1,000 people, mostly Americans, and no one in the organic beekeeping world, including commercial beekeepers, is reporting colony collapse on this list. The problem with the big commercial guys is that they put pesticides in their hives to fumigate for varroa mites, and they feed antibiotics to the bees. They also haul the hives by truck all over the place to make more money with pollination services, which stresses the colonies.

Her email recommends a visit to the Bush Bees Web site at Here, Michael Bush felt compelled to put a message to the beekeeping world right on the top page:

Wildfires, Floods, Tropical Weather Make Life Miserable From Coast to Coast

floods

NEW YORK – Nature's fury made life miserable Wednesday from one end of the nation to the other, with people forced out of their homes by wildfires near both coasts and the Canadian border and by major flooding in the Midwest.

This week, nature has unleashed floods, fires and tornadoes, coast to coast. While firefighters continue to battle early season forest fires, residents in the Midwest are hopeful that floodwaters will begin to recede. Heavy weekend rainfalls and broken levees sent water pouring into areas all over the Midwest. At left, the normally tranquil Medicine Creek is shown May 9, 2007, in Medicine Park, Okla. Torrential rains Tuesday night and the opening of nearby Lake Lawtonka's floodgates sent water rushing through the creek.

The Truth about Earthquakes

earthquake-damage

Why more earthquakes are coming--and Where! What causes them? What is prophesied about future earthquakes?

SCIENTISTS are being shaken by new, sobering, almost unbelievable facts concerning earthquakes. Recent knowledge has come to light that revolutionizes all previous concepts. These awesome new concepts reveal a threat to human existence that rivals the hydrogen bomb.

Something BIG and ominous is building up deep within the earth. The sudden increase in earth tremors - both in frequency and magnitude - has become a point of growing concern.

(Isaiah 2:19) And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

Al Qaedism, Again

fort-dixAnother straw on the back of the proverbial American camel.

Why would Albanian-speaking Muslim refugees from the Balkans try to murder American soldiers? After all, the United States — not bin Laden’s rag-tag jihadists — saved Bosnia and Kosovo? And we did that by bombing the capital of a Christian European nation.

But then, why did a mixed-up Albanian Muslim in Salt Lake City, one Sulejman Talovic, go on a shopping-mall shooting spree? Five innocents were killed in the attack before the murderer himself was shot and killed.

The Beginning of the End for Life as We Know it on Planet Earth?

There is a Biocentric Solution

seashepherdDoes humanity have a future?

We are presently living in what conservation biologists refer to as the Holocene extinction event. This is the sixth global mass extinction event in last 439 million years.

The previous five extinction events wiped out between 50 to 95 percent of species each time. The most recent event was 65 million years ago at the end of the Jurassic period, a cataclysmic occurrence that exterminated the dinosaurs, the dominant group of species at of that period.
