 The simple fact is that people distrust the invisible (and righteous) actions of their fellow man at work in markets and trust the visible (and unrighteous) action of governments, no matter how flawed.
If we value our children’s and grandchildren’s welfare, we should stop being stampeded by the global warming lobby who want us to waste trillions of dollars on a futile and needless endeavor to lower the Earth’s temperature by a trivial amount. We should pull the plug on the political process for controlling climate. That process can only magnify and entrench the power of world government over each of us.
The Earth’s atmosphere at present is mostly a commons. The world’s governments want to keep it that way so that they can jointly regulate every activity that impinges on the atmosphere, which is everything of any importance.
 EUROPE could run short of food, and, as a result, consumers will suffer from food price increases and be forced to buy imported food from sources where production is not as well-regulated as within Europe.
This was the warning issued by Robin Irvine, president of the Northern Ireland Grain Trade Association, when he met Michelle Gildernew, Minister for Agriculture this week.
Mr Irvine emphasised: "I am not just issuing a warning from our association, I am repeating the warning issued by Markos Kyprianou, the EU Commissioner for Food, and Marianne Fisher Boel, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture."
The irony of the situation is that the food that will have to be imported will be produced from the crop varieties which the unwieldy European system takes so long to approve, thus leaving Europe's food producers totally uncompetitive.
 Every school a homosexual-bisexual transsexual indoctrination center
Christian Newswire -- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed into law two bills requiring all public school instruction and activities to positively portray transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality to children as young as kindergarten. He has also signed bills undermining marriage and infringing upon the moral conscience of business owners, churches, and nonprofit organizations.
Late Friday, Schwarzenegger signed SB 777 (transsexual, bisexual, homosexual indoctrination of schoolchildren by requiring changes to all instruction and activities) and AB 394 (transsexual, bisexual, homosexual indoctrination of students, parents, and teachers via "anti-harassment" training). Signing the bills was a switch for Schwarzenegger, who vetoed nearly the same bills last year, in the midst of his reelection campaign.

 American columnist Diana West recently released her book The Death of the Grown-up, where she traces the decline of Western civilization to the permanent youth rebellions of the past two generations. The decade from the first half of the 1960s to the first half of the 1970s was clearly a major watershed in Western history, with the start of non-Western mass immigration in the USA, the birth of Eurabia in Western Europe and the rise of Multiculturalism and radical Feminism.
The paradox is that the people who viciously attacked their own civilization had enjoyed uninterrupted economic growth for decades, yet embraced Marxist-inspired ideologies and decided to undermine the very society which had allowed them to live privileged lives. Maybe this isn't as strange as it seems. Karl Marx himself was aided by the wealth of Friedrich Engels, the son of a successful industrialist.

October 11, 2007 Tucson, Arizona - I had hoped by now to have the final lab analysis on the water and soil at the Carancas, Peru, meteorite impact site. But Dr. Jose Machare, the geologist at Peru’s Ingemmet geological institute in Lima, has been gone since September 29th, won’t be back in his office until October 15th and no one at Ingemmet to date has provided a final lab report. When I last talked with Dr. Machare on September 28th, he was still saying that the National Geographic, New York Times and NASA’s Spaceweather.com reports about a dense deposit of arsenic at the impact site were not true, or at least, not confirmed by Ingemmet analysis.
After the meteorite slammed into the Carancas plateau and created a 26-foot-wide crater on the morning of September 15th, some local residents described seeing water in the crater “boil” with a bad smell and complained afterward that they got sick. So, what is in the crater water and soil?

Enceladus Ice Geysers
Ice geysers erupt on Enceladus, bright and shiny inner moon of Saturn. Shown in this false-color image, a backlit view of the moon's southern limb, the majestic, icy plumes were discovered by instruments on the Cassini Spacecraft during close encounters with Enceladus in November of 2005. Eight source locations for these geysers have now been identified along substantial surface fractures in the moon's south polar region. Researchers suspect the geysers arise from near-surface pockets of liquid water with temperatures near 273 kelvins (0 degrees C). That's hot when compared to the distant moon's surface temperature of 73 kelvins (-200 degrees C). The cryovolcanism is a dramatic sign that tiny, 500km-diameter Enceladus is surprisingly active. Enceladus ice geysers also likely produce Saturn's faint but extended E ring.
Halloween celebrated with sorceress in noose, pagan worshipper likens it to lynching blacks
 In the state made famous for persecuting witches in the late 17th century, a modern day sorceress in Massachusetts is burning mad about a neighbor's Halloween decoration depicting a witch hanging from a noose, calling it a hate crime against her religion.
"I want to see him take it down," said Kelly Lynch of Chicopee, Mass. "Look at what's going on in Louisiana. That would be the same thing. If a black family had ... crosses outside of their house or nooses hanging from their trees, it's basically the same thing."

 President George W Bush has raised the spectre of "World War Three" breaking out if Iran was allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
Mr Bush was speaking hours after Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, proposed an end to the crisis over Iran's nuclear programme at a meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Teheran.
Bush's comments are likely to fuel speculation about possible US air strikes against Iranian targets
Mr Bush said: "We've got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel.

 U.S. ally Turkey and U.S. arch-enemy Iran have formed a military alliance to drive opposition Kurds from bases in northern Iraq they have used since 2004 to launch guerrilla operations inside Iran, rebel leaders told Newsmax at a secret base in the Qandil mountains.
Both Iran and Turkey have vowed to send troops into northern Iraq, but until now evidence of active military cooperation between them has remained a closely-held secret.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stepped up political and diplomatic threats in recent days, telling the United States he would cut off U.S. access to the strategic Incirlik airbase in eastern Turkey if the U.S. tried to prevent Turkey from sending troops against the Kurdish bases in northern Iraq.
 Metro Atlanta could run out of drinking water in as little as four months according to dire predictions from top water officials on Thursday.
Low water levels along Lake Lanier
The only thing that could change the state's course, besides rain, is residents changing their behavior, and the US Army Corps of Engineers changing its release amounts from Lake Lanier.

After the defeat of the Japanese in World War II, U.S. General Albert Wedemeyer noticed a “stepped-up program of propaganda” emanating from Communist China and Russia. According to Wedemeyer, “The central theme of these messages from Communist key points was that Americans were in the Far East to exploit and conquer; in other words, that we were imperialists.” America’s allies in China and elsewhere were depicted as lackeys and collaborators. There was no similar propaganda from the American side. “A struggle for positions of strength was already in progress between America and the Soviet Union in Manchuria and North China; but unfortunately Americans were for the most part unaware of this fact. We were still in the sunset period of the ‘Trust Uncle Joe’ war era – still imagining that we could and should get along amicably with our Russian ally.”
Today history repeats itself. Propaganda originating in Russia again depicts the Americans as exploiters and imperialists. This message is simultaneously broadcast from many outlets. It is the mother’s milk of dictators and totalitarian ideologists. It resonates with America’s Islamist foes in Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. Today a newly emerging Islamic/Communist bloc deploys more soldiers and more weapons than America’s small, overstretched army can deal with. Through a cleverly orchestrated propaganda campaign, the enemies of civilization have taken the initiative. Only it is not 1945, but 2007, and America has been inwardly weakened. The impact of losing China to Communism was not such a heavy blow in 1949. Today, however, this blow hits us full force. Losing the mineral storehouse of Africa and the collapse of the pro-Western state in Pretoria was not felt as a defeat when it happened in the 1990s. Today, however, this blow will make the real situation all too clear. The threat of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela was long denied by policymakers in Washington. Now there is a Communist buildup in South America, on America’s doorstep, and the United States seems unable to fight this menace.

Schwarzenegger signs law outlawing terms perceived as negative to 'gays'
"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" effectively have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.
"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.
